First number is for the year, so this is prety much a 7040HS/H/U renamed for the year 2024.

BattleNonSense is back?
Any chance for unlocked framerate and comparison to windows/nvidia linux drivers?
Whatcha gonna use it for? gaming? I honestly wouldn't recommend intel. They are good dont get me wrong but if you want something that is gonna last you the next 10, you better go with the best that can be offered which currently is 7950X3D.
The other option is to buy the cheapest am5 CPU and wait 6 months for AMD 8000 series 3D chips, they claim 15% improvement. If that is truly the case then it'd be a no brainer.
Build it into USB C too lets gooo
Gaming still heavily prefers single threaded performance.
almost 1000W and using liquid nitro
It is a torture test after all, I have a A95K 65" that runs for 50 to 70 hours a week, mostly gaming/browsing.
I think I've had it for a year and 3 months, and no burn in yet.
Probably got unlucky with the memory controller.
You do have to remember that officially it only supports upto 3200 on DDR4, yet you are pushing it with a very high end kit of 4000, heck on CL14 too, thats very taxing on the memory controller.
Honestly, just dial it back down to 3600 or if you are extremely unlucky, back to 3200. To do that, enable XMP, then go to your ram speed section and it should give you a drop down menu, then just select 3200.
And dont repeat this stupid purchase in the future, 3600CL14 is 1/3 the price of the kit you got.
Remember the new naming scheme.
This is just a 7940HS but for the year 2024.
I have no idea how it works but its probably moving everything away from p-cores that isn't the game itself and keeps the game restricted to P-Cores.
The airtag increased by $20?
