To avoid a single point of failure for each new server, I would add $15 Inland SSD per server to zero $ budget.

X10 upgrade and HS4 compatible wifi plug brands (alien.top)
 

Upgrading our old X10 setup with RPi + HS4 software + small budget. I know that Homeseer controllers support their Wifi Smart Plugs but I wonder what other budget brand of wifi plugs will work with HS4.

Its a little unclear to me if a zwave radio for the RPi is required for proper wifi plug operation. I already have an old RPi but might consider getting the HomeTroller Pi and all its built in hardware features.

Do you have any temperature controls for this experiment? Seems that all that gear is heating the sdcards under test. It would be interesting to see their performance under temperature extremes, or at least under typical ambient operating temperatures.
