My take is that it's either similar to saying that the dad had to walk uphill both ways or it's just a piece of absurdist humor where the stupidity of the statement is itself the joke.
I created a second account to work around this and it works, but that's less than ideal.
"Falsely banning" makes it sound like they are doing it intentionally when in reality it's just a bug.
