What's your argument ? They are rightfully banning people that support terrorists. The banned people are the fascists.

Still better than nuclear fuel refined in Russia. Or gas from Russia.

I somehow doubt they will stop if Israel stops bombing Gaza. They will just move the goalposts.

Has anyone else the feeling that this will become a very long term thing of needing to protect shipping vessels and that it will affect prices of imported goods for the unforeseeable will rise ?

If it's an official Video they will have a publicly known speaker and official branding. Also official accounts on YouTube or other platforms like Twitter.

Very confusing indeed since the name and title of the Community aren't the same.

What's the difference between a video from a media outlet and a written article by the same outlet ?

Not accepting video or text pieces seems someewhat limiting. Sometimes those are quite important News.

Also I can't seem to find the world community.

The fact that we have had around 100 or more articles about Hamas and attacks from Hamas members in the last few days says your question is somewhat superficial.

Everyone seems to agree that it is news. There's plenty of articles about individuals claiming to be for Palestine that make very questionable statements.

You know what the big difference here is though?

Israel has very broad support in the rest of the world. Especially the west. The most powerful economies on the planet. Who send Israel tons of aid. The US just parked an aircraft carrier strike group in their front yard.

Both sides have fanatics stating how they want to eradicate the other. Only one said has absolute control over the other though and has the means to actually follow through with their plans.

You are asking the wrong question. The question is "what are they losing from this" and the answer is nothing. They have committed war crimes for decades and not only is nobody turning away from them instead they get pumped full of even more and better weapons. Look at all the aid the west (mainly US) is sending them.

Why would they ever think about potential consequences if there are never any?

Ironic how she was one of the big proponents of collective guilt yet she claims she didn't know her family was doing buisness with Russia

News from Gamers Nexus. Including some part about the response from Linus regarding the previous video. Linus really likes to jump the gun and digging holes for himself.

Hey everyone.

Does anyone else have the same issue with the comments not being displayed properly? For lots of comments it shows the "view parent" link which just links to the main post again. It's impossible to see the actual parent comment.

Since a few days lemmy.world won't let me log in when I'm using a browser on my desktop computer.

I tried Chrome, Firefox and Edge including private tabs and without any extensions. I enter my username and password and then it prompts me to enter my 2fa token. When I do and press login nothing happens.

It doesn't say it's wrong or was rejected. The login button turns into the circle loading animation and then a second later back to login.

The weird thing is that on my phone it works using apps like Liftoff or chromebrowser.

What am I missing ?

edit:

Okay I feel very stupid now... It appears that for some reason the automatic time synchronization of my Windows computer was not working properly and therefore the OTP codes were out of sync and were being rejected. Lemmy was just not telling me that the OTP codes are wrong. After manually clicking the sync button in the date and time settings it works now.

Trying to find out how difficult (or not) it will be to switch from iso layout to ansi. Main reason is the much better choice of keycaps that will be available.

Have any of you made the switch ? If so how difficult was it ?
