I'm still on my 2600k, I'm skipping every Intel generation apparently.

Interesting. So I own a 13600k, but I don't have the rest of my build yet. Black Friday is the plan for that.

I know it's possible to undervolt the CPU and I will more than likely do this. Is it possible to undervolt and overclock? And get better performance AND lower power draw?

I will say I didn't know that about Intel but being one who also does a lot of desktop/browser stuff as well as productivity and gaming that's kind of nice to know.

It's why I ultimately went Intel again this time (Well that's and that's where I got the best deal lol. It was honestly okay with either Intel or AMD). They do seem the most well rounded though, with the only drawback being the power draw/temps as far as I knew, which I do consider to be a bit unfortunate.

The high temps i'm sure can be mitigated with good cooling, but what about the high power consumption? Surely that's a strike against it.

This is reassuring. I'll probably hang on to my 13600k :)

I've read/watched some stuff about latency/stuttering issues on Intel 12th - 14th gen regarding desktop and productivity usage, like these videos from Tech YES City, or Techwando.

I feel like this would be frustrating and annoying no matter what, but as someone who will do a lot of desktop stuff, and Youtube, and productivity stuff (Video editing and audio production), and given that these are the situations where these latency/stuttering issues happen, and given that nothing annoys me more than when technology doesn't just work smoothly, I feel like this would be extra annoying for me.

I'm just wondering what other peoples experiences have been with this, and if others here have had problems with these processors. The people that are claiming it has these issues make a pretty strong case. I'm wondering if it's a universal or at the least fairly common problem with these processors before I commit to a purchase. I just got a 13600k but am considering returning it before starting my build because of this stuff.
