Barbarian said it well, I played 2 of the games on Linux and even though they did technically work they weren't that smooth of an experience, I'd recommend starting the proton version!

Well it can be a good base but a greedy exec tends to feel somewhat 1 dimensional to me
That's such a great idea, thank you so much for the inspiration! Plus the idea of magic/techno chicken guarding a top secret factory factors really well with the more Pink Mohawk style I wanted for that campain
Also: if the chickens are taken off the feed, their souls weaken and they can be easily possessed by insect spirits.
Calm down there Satan!
Also, just for fun, I figured I'd put the novel through DeepL (it was written in French) and post it here, maybe someone will have a kick out of it!
For some background: Streit is an amateur poet and philosopher, him and Whitemane have a Will-they-won't-they dynamic. Sun and Camel are the two member that wanted him out and both Streit and Whitemane see Alopex (5th member) as a child to protect. Also, the job was given by a dragon (oopsie).
...Shit, I hadn't clicked on the right ARO. Aaah, my intro was spot on... Damn matrix stuff... 'How many solitudes; From west to east, from north to south; Of waves to the soul, of giant spleens; In the deserts of the screens.' Mmph, I'll do it to Whitemane, I'm sure he'd like it. How do you mark a chapter in this thing? Oh never mind, you'll listen in one go.
It's July 1st, the rest of the team's only been gone 12 hours... It pisses me off, they were working well, but I don't get them. We're runners, damn it, Kantist idealism can't last forever. At least Whitemane stayed, I wouldn't stand a chance without magical support... Plus... Er, yeah, whatever.
I can't figure out how I'm supposed to talk to this thing, I don't know if it's a message to justify myself, to document or whatever... I think the silence is just going to my head, we've been waiting 4 hours for the shooting to stop so we can get out, and Whitemane hasn't been very chatty since yesterday. Shit, I'd rather be yelled at... Commlink, opens an notes ARO, writes: 'Make Sun and Camel regret making them cry.' Yeah, I know they didn't really cry, but it'll piss me off more if it's written that way.
I'll finish the job, the last thing they both need is more trouble, and a big multi-billionaire dragon doesn't bring much else when you're on the wrong side of the scale... I knew we shouldn't have taken the contract... Well, I thought about it anyway, I guess. At least now I'm thinking about it. Fuck it, let's just get this over with and get back to Berlin fast.
