Definitely seems in hindsight they were always set up more defensively and too comfortable to rely on him for moments of magic. Maybe if they’d played more on the front foot they could have maximized his use, won more matches 3-2 instead of 1-0.
There’s a difference between diving or faking and exaggerating, do they both merit the same punishment?
Imagine kicking a chair on accident, you can’t do anything but wince in agony for a few seconds. A lot of these incidents where someone is really hurt for 5-10 seconds and then gets up are more like that than faking. Even guys who go down with cramps when they’re 1-0 up in the 95th minute, there’s no way to determine if it’s legit or not.
