I didn't know much about this conflict until I did a deep dive last night. I can never abide killing innocent people. But after having learned the history and context behind the Palestine/Israel conflict during the better part of the 20th century up to now...it is hard to imagine a more desperate situation than what the Palestinians are in today. Given what I've learned, I can't support Israel, and I am sickened that my government gives so much money each year to this apartheid state to continue their oppressive practices. Hamas seems to me, a symptom of a much deeper problem that Britain started and rhe West/Israel perpetuate. This didn't happen in a vacuum.

I nuked my 10yo account. I was so pissed about the API thing. Sadly, I do still find myself on random reddit threads if I'm looking for some specific info though...it's just not as easy to search for relevant info through Lemmy. But I do love the community for what it is though.
I'm sure there are scammers, but my wife did a lot of research before we went. The dentist we went to in TJ actually got her degree in San Bernardino, CA like 40 mins from where we live. If you do your due diligence the process can go pretty smoothly, and yes, save a ton of cash.
I've done this with my wife. It saved us thousands of dollars. And the place was very clean and professional.

I can agree wholeheartedly. I found Elden Ring to be a very boring game.
If you like computer RPGs and don't mind/enjoy turn-based combat, you will not be disappointed. The game is amazing and has incredible depth. I rarely pay full price for a game these days (steam sales) but I pulled the trigger on this and do not have any regrets at all.
Idk...most people probably aren't familiar with aspect ratios at all, let alone what aspect ratio their own TV supports. Especially back in the day your talking about. I wouldn't just write them off as idiots, it's a pretty simple mistake to make. Especially for those who simply don't care to track this information in their brains; which is completely reasonable in this age of information overload.
