It's less about taking the high road and more of not wanting to be associated with someone like that. A lot of people would lose respect for her if she did that. The Democrats mentality is no more negotiating with the far right. Just vote them out of relevance.

Based on the news coverage the second group is the larger one, is it not? I don't believe a large group of people are actively trying to abandon Harris. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, honest question here. What's the likely outcome for these groups of delegates come election day. Can they not vote? Vote for an independent representative instead of Democrat?
