I dunno the answer to your question but maybe use orgzly on android instead. It mostly works OK but to be honest, I mainly only use it read-only. I use syncthing to synchronise to linux org files.

Also - how the heck would you use a keyboard-driven application like emacs without a (proper) keyboard? It sounds like punishment.

Did you try outline-minor-mode ?

Emacs natively on Wayland (PGTK) is slower than on Xwayland (Lucid) Also fonts are not looking good on both (but good on X). in c/[email protected]

I can't help with your problem (other than maybe try knocking the config back to the absolute minimum and if that works then try adding back bits until it breaks again) but i can't believe you're re-mapping C-x e, it's just so useful as kmacro-end-and-call-macro.

emacs_without_a_keyboard was an interesting read - so how about emacs on chromebooks?

I had a cursory look at the chromebook keyboard and got scared - is it like Mac where the keys have different names but similar functions?

Perhaps there are config changes or packages needed?

Perhaps it's as different as evil vs holy modes?

Or is it basically impossible to use emacs on chromebooks?

I can't recall where I first heard the term, but 'angry fruit salad' is so descriptive of so many of them.
