Not that I'm aware of. A basic search didn't turn up anything promising.

I recommend using Privacy.com to create virtual credit cards that withdraw directly from a bank account. I see it as a VPN for credit card purchases. For US customers only, but obscures payment info to merchants.

You can use a bogus name and address for the merchant billing information (in this case Google Play).

It's going to vary based on the usage amount. Popular apps are going to be charged a lot.

From Reddit's blog about the change:

Effective July 1, 2023, the rate for third-party apps that require higher usage limits is $0.24 per 1K API calls.

Apollo's developer stated in May 2023, Apollo made 7 billion requests, which would put it at about 1.7 million dollars per month, or 20 million US dollars per year.

Is there a paywall free link?

The commenter is probably referring to OpenAI's recent custom instructions update which allows ChatGPT to consider information across all queries.

The ice couldn't handle how hot he was.

The ice melts on its own. Staring while it melts is inconsequential but makes it a dad joke.

Paywall Bypass

Good article. Serves as a reminder that a breach in privacy will also give away information on everyone you interact with through that service.

Collectively, we need to encourage others to be cautious with our personal data that they upload.

I see your point. What a scary world.

This reminds me of Prometheus and Bob.

I wonder if it'd be worth spoofing packets with some automation? Get that sweet discount and still maintain your privacy?

If insurance companies mandate tracking I could see new efforts to do this like piracy and adblocking came about.
