The leaves didn't have a velvety texture. Do they get that once they mature?

I have noticed this white powder on my pothos leaves. Almost like water spots, but comes back after wiping them. Is it some sort of pest? in c/[email protected]

Top left for ease of maintenance. But if you do bottom right, thst will grow the largest pothos since they're allowed to climb like they do in the wild.

I'm interested to see if there are any good FOSS options! I've used planta a bit but it has limited features on the free version and I do not need yet another paid subscription.
