@TeamAssimilation Last time they allowed brand new accounts to engage, I don't remember if they did in 2017 or not.

@Tsouintsouin Yeah, I hear some of his team worked with a big video game company in the 90s?

Other posters already covered it but yeah, in standard tuning string thickness might give you a very slight, barely detectable difference if any at all. Thicker strings only matter when you're playing in alternate tunings, and even then you have to tune quite aways down before regular strings hit their limit and become too floppy to use.

Outside of that? Strings aren't meant to last forever! Try several different types and find what you like!

@Peaces I don't get it, that's just someone performing a DDT on thin air

@Haui I generally agree with that sentiment, but r/emulation in particular had a great mod team that culled out the ton of low efforf posts like "I downloaded a Pokémon ROMs how do I make it work" and "some emulator just released a new version, here's my 'video showcase' that barely mentions the emulator in question. Don't forget to like and subscribe!" and so on.

@a_fancy_kiwi Exactly! In a business environment where you need to squeeze every possible penny and every second of downtime is money lost, OP is introducing additional potential points of failure.

In a homelab where downtime is just an inconvenience? Go for it! Try it for yourself and see how you like it!

@FPSkra I also hear it's the electric city; they call it that because of the electricity

@ImADifferentBird I was going to say somewhere in Western Kansas would be good as Wichita is Koch-sucking territory, but OP said they're an introvert so they may be able to put up with the bullshit. Out on this side of the state it's mostly senile old people with backwards-ass views and the occasional extremist douche that the rest of the community laughs at the second they open their mouths.

This isn't a shower thought, it's just a repost of an ancient meme

@Kichae Yeah, but Ubisoft has a long history of sitting on the edge of anti-consumer. Valve hasn't entered that territory.

So first of all if you ever plan on reselling the guitar then know you won't get as much money out of the guitar as you spent on the modifications. However, if you like playing the guitar in general then it's worth it to play with modifications to make it even more suited to your style.

I never modified the cheap Radio Shack guitar I started with, but I keep it around as it was my first guitar. My MIM strat, though? I've played with all sorts of modifications over the years as it's my main guitar. I did pick up a pawn shop special to experiment with humbuckers before modifying my strat and found it doesn't suit my style, but otherwise? I've replaced sooo many parts on the strat over the years to make it my own.
