After almost a year of dropping my passion for game making in pursuit of a more stable tech job (web dev), taking a break from a tough day job thinking I could land a web dev job somewhat soon given the demand, I found myself spending a lot of energy on applications that got rejected, and much of my savings are gone from taking this long break. After a long bureacratic battle with the municipality about an illness they need to financially aid me in supplies for, I finally got approved which made the dayjob I left go from unbearable to jsut tough on me. My financial worries are gone as I'm back to work and I no longer feel guilt pursuing my game dev passion or evvlen just taking a break and binching youtube on my days off. I've not been happier in over a year. It gets better

Any smart heads that can tell me how fidning 2 cases of something gives enough of a clue that this might occur as often as 1 in 5-6 million live births?

I have misspoken countless times and said one when I meant the other. It's been a long time since I knew they were anagrams, and my tongue seemingly knew before my brain did
Free speech protects journalists from being imprisoned for reporting on events in the world, with the angle to the story they see fit.
Free speech is not about preventing any old fart spewing actual falsifiable lies/misinformation from being silenced on a privately owned platform.
Free speech also isn't about choosing to disregard anti-misinformation laws in other parts of the world, in the name of said old farts' rights to say anything, but still insisting on serving customers in those same parts of the world.
That's what EU is fighting against. Misinformation spread on a platform serving EU customers is finable. If Twitter/X wants to stick to free speech principles without being fined, they have two options.
- combat misinformation/lies (this isn't anti free speech)
- geoblock the EU. Don't do business here
Missed opportunity to only cross out the full stop at the end and instead write "quite possibly dead"
I've been through the same. I was so sad to learn this. This is what personal growth looks like, you learned a thing today. Be proud of yourself
