Omg. What did your partner have to say? Did he help clean up?

I’ve done it to Hawaii, there was no other direct flight option from Melbourne. It was ok enough, but food options are rubbish, so I reckon buy your own at the airport and take it on the plane.

Petrol Spy shows the prices all over Melbourne. Sometimes prices vary wildly even in the same suburb.

It’s late and I’m not sleepy.

Me too. Its endless. I try to minimise creating them when cooking but they spawn anyway from whichever circle of hell they arise from. Forever. Until death do us part. Or maybe not, if that’s the particular hell I get assigned to in the afterlife.

I’ll never understand the adoration of politicians in America. The rallies, the banners, the concert style appearances, tshirts, celebrity endorsements. Can you imaging such a thing for Albo, Dutton or anyone in Aus? I greatly prefer our attitude - view them all with a healthy disdain and vote for the one you least dislike.

I wish we could invent a meth vaccine. Take meth and nothing happens, no addiction. Meth seems especially bad for anti-social behaviours compared to other drugs.

The updated tv news music was jarring. I’d never noticed the previous one, but the new one sounds like the old one but pop-musiced a bit? I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s not better.

So sorry to hear. Hopefully you can find something that suits you better.

I like this one and will choose to believe it.

Reminds me of a headline I saw recently ‘study finds early childhood tablet use linked to tantrum outbursts’. No-shit-Sherlock-scientists. They’ll soon discover water is wet too.

Adjustment means they can make exceptions if your disability requires it. The job requirement part depends on the reasons, eg if being present is an inherent part of the job, (it would be impossible to be a hairdresser via zoom), then the adjustment can be refused. But if it’s only for social reasons, there may be some flexibility. You don’t know until you ask! It’s also possible that the employer can make the adjustment at the workplace. For example if a person can’t use stairs, and building doesn’t have a lift, then make sure they are situated only on ground floor and all meetings are held in accessible rooms etc. I know it’s not always easy to approach employer and some of them might be dismissive of requests. But… if it’s a choice between suffer and maybe have to quit work, or ask and possibly get some accomodations there’s no harm at all in asking.

This year I grew tomatoes, and found rats are stealing them. I am certain it’s rats because I have seen them. Have tried netting the tomato plants, but rats found ways in. Called an exterminator to bait in the roof and under house. Feel ambivalent about it, because if a predator bird takes an affected rat it may get ill. But I’m located deep in suburbia and have never seen an owl or eagle so I think it’s unlikely. Didn’t work though, still have rats. Have given up on the tomatoes, plants are destroyed. What are your strategies for ridding yourself of ratty pestilences?
