I'm sorry, is your source just a literal Wikipedia page? Are you serious? Bro get outta here 🤣
Shezzagrad
That's what I said
I'm with you my friend, also I blame the Jewish people for Israel, it was a small sub sect that decided to make it happen in the violent matter it did (I'm personally not opposed to a Jewish state or secular state with Jews and whoever else are considered fully equal but this isn't it). Now one nation has control over this extremely ancient and diverse religion which is sad to see. I want to see every nation respected rather than in one nation as a villain. Jews used to be in Afghanistan and the lands that encompass Pakistan and I wish they could go back and live with us again.
But honestly my friend it's hard, it's so hard seeing Zionist rhetoric and what Israel does. But the anti Zionists Jewish heroes are also what remind me were all human.
Also great seeing you here again, love running into you again If you haven't already checked it out, check out illan paper a Israeli Jewish historian with more facts than most.
It absolutely is. Tho to be honest it was my beginning foray into history since then, my new passion is bronze age middle eastern/Indus history. But of course the glory of Rome is unlike many others
They both hate Jews and love the Jewish state. I never understood this.
You're 100% right but unlike any other religion, their very small and the majority have links to Israel and so are involved in the oppression (not all by choice, many many many great people like illan paper, norman Finkelstein and so many other) who do great work. But knowing all this, it makes me so upset and angry in the deepest part of my heart. Loudly I will support the Jewish people for they are humans are my brothers. I just don't understand how they can see us with such vitriol when Palestinian historically didn't do shit to them.
Honestly you are right as someone who started his love for history with the Romans, I didn't know this was a debate, so I did some research and to me personally the end of the Roman empire was 476ad with the last western Roman empire abdicating. Or perhaps the fall of Constantinople
Among which historians specifically? I'm unaware of any serious debate here other than propagandists using the name second Rome, third Rome, ceaser etc. sorry buddy Roman empire collapsed when the franks, Visigoths, ostrogoths and Huns toppled the west. Wanna know why it ended then? Byzantine had split long before into a separate entity to distance itself from Rome and when it collapsed it chugged along with it's greek orthodox ideals
Id barely call the byzantines the Romans. They were a greek led empire
It's crazy how they and the west propagandised for years about terrorism and Islamism when their biggest allies like use, Israel and Saudi Arabia are the biggest reasons the Muslim world is the way it is. Israel is a vile nation and while I believe the cycle of hatred needs to be breaked, if I was a Palestinian, I would want every single Zionist (not every Israeli) dead or gone
What? I'm sorry I'm not joining you on that basement dweeb back and forth about home instance 🤣🤣🤣 I'm using Lemmy as a Reddit alternative, and ml was just the choice I set on because I love an underdog number 2 instance. you should consider touching grass and getting a hobby, there's bigger things in this world than this dude. Let it be a wake-up call before it's too late
