Yep, between fixed mounted TV's with zero space behind the TV to reach the HDMI ports or the TVs that have the weird cable box firmware/software that blocks you from accessing the tv inputs it was doomed from the beginning.

But when will we finally be free of the pages upon pages of job listings for stable boys. Who will care for all the horses?!

You lost all credibility when you said it was "less about the costs"

I recently hired a mid -level manager from McDs strategy team and it's at least 90% about cost reduction. They're watching the adoption curve, because older and urban demographics still mostly order at the counter and refuse to use the self ordering lines. That's why they offer free fries and free upgrades at select locations for using self ordering to force the greater adoption.

Also they've started reducing headcount in locations where adoption is higher, but still limit hours to hourly workers.

It's all right there if you want to believe it, but good luck with the spin.

If it's a Tesla, you lose all access to connectivity, OTA updates, "autopilot", driver assist, gps, etc...

Fuck Elon

That's true of pretty much anywhere in life.

Not to be too harsh, but welcome to the life of pretty much every other 4 year degree professional.

Cost of college keeps going up, while salary and career prospects continue to decline.

Given your comment I'm not sure if this a positive comment on lemmy or whether you agree with the comment you responded to?

Someone being banned for arguing politics would never happen on Reddit, so given they were banned from two instances in <6hrs is a land speed record.

It's not and that's because it's bad for Reddit's business model in the short term. If you zoom out this is exactly why reddit is on a nose dive over the last 3 years. More. Shit. Content.

There can be more than one person to blame. This isn't binary.

At the risk of getting sued, this is how Elon runs his businesses.

Shows up late to nearly every meeting, and then will ridicule his management team for wasting his time.

He'll blow millions of dollars on an incredibly stupid idea that doesn't work and every expert in the room advised him against and then he'll turn around and fire managers for not saving pennies on a part.

He constantly lies to investors, customers and government agencies by promising things he knows he cannot deliver and then will fire managers for not setting achievable goals.

Fuck this piece of shit. He deserves everything that's coming to him.
