Bittorrent opens a ton of simultaneous connections that can overwhelm the pos router supplied by some ISPs. If that’s your issue, lowering the max # of connections could not only clear it up but also increase your download speed

Regarding that last one, wasn’t there a finding reciently that Einstein-Rosen bridges and quantium teleportation are in some sense the same thing? I admit most of that news went over my head so I might have misunderstood.

Article and TLDR are outdated. A solution that doesn’t require negative energy was found in 2021

Energy requirement is still astronomical and we still don’t have any idea how to actually accomplish it, but we are back in the realm of: maybe eventually

You can mix and match. Most AVRs let you set the crossover frequency for front and rear speakers separately, assuming you’re using the sub/lfe out. Just watch out for the usual speaker stuff like attaching high-impedance speakers to an amp that can’t handle it.

There’s some leeway on the rear speakers since they’re mostly used for environmental effects you can get away with a cheaper set. I’d be less inclined to skimp on the center speaker though. You generally want it to be a close match to the front L/R. Though a 4.1 setup could work if your AVR knows how to do it properly.

Related to this, a way to filter out subbed communities entirely might be nice. Likewise filtering /local from /all

I have a super old Sony ereader that I love, but it’s a travel reader so it’s tiny. The battery is also finicky about being discharged.

The remarkable has been calling to me but it’s a bit pricier than I’d like.

Do you have one of the older iPhones that had “3D Touch”? That did some weird stuff with gestures, like if you swiped with enough pressure it would switch apps.

Most Mac apps don’t have an uninstaller (or installer) you’re meant to just toss the app in the trash. The problem is this leaves in place your preferences files, any “application support” files it may have downloaded, maybe a cache, etc

That said, I’ve been migrating the same Library folder from Mac to Mac since around 2003 and have never used an app cleaner. It really isn’t an issue 99% of the time.

[a,b) is commonly called “half open” in the database world, so my first instinct is to call (a,b] half closed. Sounds weird though. Inverse half open?

I’m still on 10 myself so I can’t say for sure. I remember I needed to go into device manager and disable but not uninstall the Microsoft stack, and stop it from automatically updating.

It’ll break the Bluetooth settings/control panel and you’ll need to re-pair all devices via the new icon in the system tray. It looks basically the same as the old one and both might be present, so I advise hiding the old one.

I also seem to recall having to change a setting relating to the pairing password. Maybe? Sorry it’s been a while since I got it set up and it’s worked flawlessly ever since so the details are a bit fuzzy.
