I've got a GL503VD rog laptop with an i7-7700HQ, which is non-overclockable. Yes, I know HQs can't be overclocked.I want to force the boost that the system allows to be always on at it's max freccuency.
It has a 1x core boost up to 3.8 MHz, 2x core boost up to 3.6 MHz and for 4x core boost it's got 3.4 MHZ. I've already got it locked at 3.4 MHz on Throttlestop, since that's the max valie for all 4 cores, even if I make it go higher it won't do it. Everywhere I've read that it is not possible to overclock it since it's locked.
My issue is that when I'm looking at my data on HWMonitor after gaming, it shows that the max reached freccuency of all 4 cores is at around 3.79-3.8 MHz, which means that for a moment all 4 clocks reached the max freccuency allowed for a single clock.
Is it possible to modify anything in anyway to force the 3.8 MHz on all 4 cores at all times?
Thermals are not an issue, I have modified the
laptop.
