"sunsetting" is such an ugly euphemism for "killing". On the other hand, I am sunsetting Reddit right now. Deleted all my posts and comments, left all the subreddits apart from the drama ones to keep informed about the latest Reddit Inc fuckups. I have a feeling they are not done alienating their userbase yet.

It's possible to run a browser from the Steam UI. As far as I recall it even works in parallel to a game. You could also run Signal or Discord and use that for voice calls while playing a game. It's a bit clunky though, wouldn't recommend it.

This. If you like to follow people (Twitter-style) then Mastodon is the right tool for you. If you are focused on topics and don't care much who supplies the content (Reddit-style) then Lemmy is what you want.

Did you have a look at Reddit lately? The content quality is shit. Personally I find much more interesting stuff on Lemmy atm.
