I don't think the point to to actually get paid. I think the idea is, as you said, media attention, as well as investor attention. Who's going to want to invest in a company that's trying to unionize?
After what he's said about Apollo and it's dev, I don't trust a work out of his mouth. If it wasn't a big deal he wouldnt be so vocal about it.
Do what I do and drink a shitton of water, carry that water bottle around with you. If anyone decides to ask, you answer, "if you drink as much water as I do, you'd understand".
