Dying Light, absolutely fantastic pakour zombie smasher with one of the best cities in gaming. Bought it originally (on a disc) many years ago and played it so much the disc died and I was inconsolable until Epic gave away the ultimate edition and I was finally able to play The Following DLC.

Now I go and look at Dying Light 2 on Steam and wish my stupid country wasn't so damn expensive, even on sale at 50% off it still costs almost as much as a brand new AAA game in the states. Regional pricing my ass, we always get stung so hard for tech down here.

I was wondering why cannabis was so high but this makes sense, it's not the ill effects the plant has (which should put it down with nitrous and hallucinogens) but what the state will do to you for possessing the plant that causes the most harm, which is a pretty clear statement that our policy settings are way off.

There was that windscreen that cracked a while ago too, AirNZ is obviously just discovering that taking an axe to it's support and maintenance staff to get another yaucht in the marina probably wasn't the best idea.

I feel it's a really good rule of thumb to just not click any links, especially if they're texted. I can't think of the last time an organization texted me a direct link, MSD and IRD usually send you a text telling you to check your account for instance, so I feel it's much better to er on the side of caution and ignore them all.

Emails are a bit trickier but most organizations generally use letterheads and footers to identify themselves pretty plainly, but if I'm ever in doubt I'll again er on the side of caution again and either ring them or go straight to the website rather than touch a link.

And they would have gotten away with it too if Smedley Butler hadn't blown the whistle after they approached him to lead the coup's forces.

I went through and tried all the Lemmy apps available on the play store and I feel Jerboa is the best of the bunch, I have heightened accessibility needs (low vision) too which Jerboa again seeming to be the best of the bunch as I'm pretty sure it runs straight off my android settings so the text is big enough for me to read comfortably.

Bear in mind that Gib is quite expensive nowdays (with fletcher's monopoly over pretty much our entire building industry) with speciality products, like noisline, being doubly so.

So maybe give it a bit and see what it's like before pulling the trigger, a decent block wall with a good air gap packed with batts will cancel out the vast majority of regular household noise I feel.

Before jumping ship from Chrome completely try Vivaldi, it's built on the Chrome engine (so you can continue using your extensions and what nots) but it's made by one of the guys that created Opera but jumped ship before it got sold off to big money.

So like old Opera there's a huge emphasis on not only pushing what a browser can do (Opera pioneered speed dial for instance and tabs too iirc) but privacy and security as well.

I've been using it for a while now with Firefox really not being able to scratch the itch left by Opera and I'm really impressed with just how good it is for being built on Chrome.

The font type and size was the real seller for me, completely forgot to mention in my OC, I have low vision so reading regular books has become a real struggle.

Boost just recently pushed out an update too, maybe there's something behind the scenes we aren't aware of yet.
