I have simply switched instances. The server owner for autism.place disappeared one day, and that instance went under. As for leaving LW it is as i've mentioned above an occasion to de-centralise the fediverse a little.

I have known that i have autism since I was about 10 years old, so my parents pretty much told me right away.

I'm glad that you got it covered by insurance! I was diagnosed as a child but i know a few people who were diagnosed later in life and, it has helped them process and put into context the "otherness" of their past behaviors.

I am not in America but, people in more artsy places seem more open minded. Things like painting workshops, theatre clubs, and such. I would also try looking online for autistic or queer advocacy groups in your general area.

Thanks for noticing, it is fixed now.

I think having one central instance is bad for the fediverse as a whole.

The link should be included in the sidebar now!

As you may have noticed the moderators of this community are inactive for quite a while now. I have created an alternative here, which I will try to moderate to the best of my abilities.

I Don't think it is. the people I worked here with in the past have disappeared or moved on. I might try to create an alternative on dbzer0
