Could you add a similar behavior to link previews when you long tap a link within text? Or maybe even just showing text with the link itself would be enough (that's my way of previewing links on other apps).

Would airport networks have randomization enabled?

Thanks for taking care of them! Just wanted to say that milk is generally not a good thing to give to cats as most of them are lactose intolerant.

I cycle between Thunder, Summit and Sync, they all have similar vibes.

(It actually expired 3 days ago, managed to re-subscribe earlier today).

I don't think the posts by the other user came off as immediately troll-ey, so I am not sure how to not to do it again? It was definitely not my intention to feed them. I was not the only user who replied to them either. Some of the comments that were removed were direct replies to me, which is what made me think the mod may have mistakenly used my username when they were trying to ban them. I know timed bans eventually expire, but that I was banned for 30 days for "trolling" will always be accessible through the modlog (without context) when it was possibly a mistake.

Hi! I got banned from one of the communities in the instance about a month ago (climate). I think (hope) it was actually a mistake? I got into a discussion with someone under an article, they kept saying dumb things, and the mod for that comm removed his comments with the reason "don't troll", but then banned me for 30 days for "trolling" (and not the other user who had their comments removed). I messaged the mod for that comm to ask if it had been a mistake, but I'm thinking they may had blocked me as I didn't get a reply.

I'm posting mainly because I don't want that permanent "stain" in my record when it was possibly a mistake. Is there anything I can do about it?

In my experience, just consuming more media is a good way to become more familiar with the facial features that we might not pay enough attention to differentiate between people. When I first started watching Japanese movies, I had a bit of a hard time grasping who was who, but as time went on it became easier.

Lovely this happened because someone complained after being banned from the piracy instance for being a transphobic asshole.

Equating Nazi symbolism with Soviet ones just feels like such a weird thing to do, there's a reason Nazi symbols are banned in several (if not a majority) of European countries, but is not the case at all when it comes to soviet symbols. I think it's specially disappointing because the image that was originally shared was a reference to the "spectre" line in the communist manifesto. The hammer and sickle symbol has a long history that supersedes the history of the Soviet Union as a state, even my "third-world country" in Latin America (I'm sure you can see in the logs where I'm posting from) has a history of using the symbol for liberatory causes.

I also recommend reading "Is Gender Necessary? Redux", an essay by Ursula that deals with her relationship to feminist critiques to The Left Hand of Darkness (for example, using male pronouns to signify genderlessness) and how her opinion of those critiques changed throughout the years. It's one of my favorite pieces of writing by her.
