It's a Trump reflex. He just HAS to say, "nobody is as [ ] as I am."
This is the same company that defended themselves by claiming that a "no swimming" sign was good enough warning after a families young kid was eaten alive by an alligator.
It's the same as the movie business, pay attention to the sort of entertainment your employer makes. If you get a script for, "The Human Centipede" then READ IT, imagine how your scenes are going to play out, and decide if your dignity and self-respect are worth it.
You can't collect unemployment benefits if you resign. Make them fire you.
And you just know Texas lawmakers were fine with this because the right people got paid off to look the other way by Musk.
The dangers of mercury poisoning are well understood. We're talking about insanity, paralysis and death. Nobody can pull a, "we had no idea" excuse. Google "Minimata Japan disaster" if you want to know what happens when a corporation poisons people with mercury for nearly 40 years.
This is how you throw low-level drones under the bus: by leaving no paper trail. Then, when your farked-up plan inevitably farks up, you can say, "Oh, we didn't authorize them (the drones) to do THAT."
This is about protecting the people in charge, not the idiots who follow them.

Stories like this are proof that we need to get over our child-like worship of billionaires. Money is no proof of intelligence.
You can also love your country while at the same time utterly hating your government.
Those are separate things, despite what politicians and nationalists have told you.

I think I've managed to avoid this by making the Linux drive my boot drive and by leaving the Windows drive untouched. (i.e. grub bootloader on the Linux drive, with option to boot to Windows as the second choice)
