To be fair , they design and manufacture the case in canada .. so it makes sense that it'll be a little more expensive than when you get the labor done in china
And yeah when you compare it to synology , i guess you still get more bang for the buck .. but YMMV
Same here , I really like that it give you kind of direction in scripting how something could be done. It helped me to write a python script which listens for incoming mails and triggering commands based on subject. Without chatgpt i would have spend days to figure out how to do it. Sure the example code isn't perfect , but good enough as template
Just wait .. everyone has that episodes where you don't want to tinker around... mine was off for 6 months and recently I got back at it. So rebuilt everything with automation in focus , spinning / stopping VMs via email , every dhcp lease gets an A record on my DNS server and such jazz .. and lastly implemented Authentik so that every service uses oauth where possible.
Just wait a little .. because when you want to start over and sell everything , you'll need to buy stuff again
