Yes they can. And some more demanding things as well. Especially the AMD variants have some impressive performance.

I get 5 hours out of mine with some heavier loads throughout the day. And 8 hours if I just browse, write down notes or read stuff. I'm using Fedora 39

Headset Mic not working (alien.top)
 

I received my FW13 with AMD 7 7840U yesterday and after installing Fedora 39 went ahead with testing everything.

Everything working as advertised except the fingerprint reader and the headphone jack. The fingerprint reader is already fixed after manually flashing it's firmware.
With the headphone jack however I am a bit at a loss. When I plug my HyperX Cloud 2 Headset in, it shows up as output only. I can listen to stuff with it but the mic simply does not show up.
I can't seem to find anyone with similar issues either, so I came here for some advice or to check if I overlooked some documentation before i bother support.

I'm praying it's just an easy driver fix as well. Thanks in advance :)

I'm in Batch 5 too and I received my "Shipping now" E-Mail earlier today. Now I'm waiting impatiently for it to arrive in Austria.

Edit: 7 7840U with just 32 GB RAM already installed. No charger, no OS, no SSD.
