Hot Spot temperature down from ~ 102°C to ~ 75°C on my gold old RX 6800xt just by deshrouding and putting a huge chunk of thermal pad between board and backplate? in c/[email protected]

Fans did the thing.

Thermal pads on the backplate affect temperatures, but only to a degree. They certainly can´t affect core temperatures.

I still have one good SanDisk USB 3.0 flashdrive. A really, really old one, but with great speeds as well.

All my more recent SanDisk flashdrives failed - and all for the same reason. ECC detected error and locked the unit...
