Look at used as well. Lots of newer generation tvs on Facebook marketplace for a low price.

I’ve noticed that on our 1080p model, Netflix looked far better than the built in app on our older model 1080p Sony tv.
The chemicals in the plastic packaging on the electronics chips (including transistors) slowly leaches into the silicon and will eventually mess up the semiconductor characteristics, causing them to fail..
