Regardless of your opinion of the guy, feel like financially fucking him into the ground for life shouldn't be a thing... Sure punishment is in order, but what he got is a financial life sentence - it doesn't feel right.

The loophole is, joining countries are to adopt the euro, there is however no defined time limit to that, no deadline. A country could be "getting around to it" permanently.

That's easy... Linux is a lot like windows used to be, except sometimes it's very difficult because you're trying to do something complex, other times it's very difficult because that's just how it is.

Agreed, a lot of what makes it cool for some, makes others uncomfortable, a client that abstracts a lot of the distributed nature of the service away would be more attractive to some.

You can edit your hosts file so that if you type in reddit.com it just provides lemmy.world's IP address and connects to that instead.

Within sync settings it was "block automod and annoying bots" or something like that, it's pretty much the reason I used sync.

Unfortunately, the reddit app doesn't have the features I want - Sync was a perfect fit, I didn't want to see automod pinned comments on every thread (and a while ago reddit removed the ability to block automod natively), bacon reader did have this feature within the app but after a while stopped perusing it.

I can't use a client where I'm ass-blasted with ads and garbage that I cannot filter out, so here I am... We'll see how it goes.

I wonder if reddit, twitter and youtube all got around a table one day and decided that no, actually, screw the users entirely.

Because they are all doing really bizzare things.

Fair enough, I'm replying via wefwef, thought I'd give it a go...

Not targeted? Can't I randomly just tell you to go F yourself and it'd be fine?

Isn't wefwef in alpha with some missing functionality? Eg: editing posts hasn't been added etc.

Sync failed earlier... I'm just exploring Lemmy and still don't know what I'm doing but it's slowly starting to make sense... Sort of.
