This is one of the longest running problems without a solution i have ever had (it caused me to seek out alternative clients in the first place)
Anyway, heres the deal: Youtube doesnt seem to remember my history on any video, heres the things i tried: check of history is in (it is)
ad these to ublock origin .video-stats.l.google.com .s.youtube.com
disable ublock origin
try a different browser ( fresh firefox and two different chromium ones)
disable tampermonkey

And today i looked at my history again, and the weirdets thing is it does remember the position and when i open the video from googles watch history, it works, i opened a video normally after that and it worked too

Anyone with any idea what is going on here would be greatly appreciated

unfortunately, this rule had little to no impact on youtubes ability to remember video positions

For whom this may be so infuriating varies, but personally. This constant need to shove these "ai" products into everywhere making it increasingly harder to remove or ignore makes it to me, maybe even more than infuriating.

What the shit happened to freedom of information act? Now we not only have to sacrifice our privacy to some 3rd party contractor but I must also create a fucking account in order to access information our government provides? Fuck that shit. Some said it helps adding a tile to ublpfk, it didn't the only thing that helped was a plugin.

Than again, I could use a chromium browser for it, they seek to work better

My most mildly infuriating thing with freetube is that the new player is not aligned with the edges of the video, I reported it initially cause I thought it was a bug
