I've never touched SQL but some friends said that its a language you can basically learn in an afternoon, so I put it on my CV and applied to some jobs that say they want SQL lol. But now I've actually gotten an interview and I'd like to not get caught out as bullshitting - is it as easy as my friends say and do any of yall have some good resources about learning/using it? In the past I've had pdfs that take you from nothing to profiecency in a language and I'd love something similar, but now that I've graduated I don't have access to stuff like that anymore. I have a shittonne of experience in python if that helps (although at a glance nothing i'm seeing online looks much like python, but i'm told that you can implement it through python or something?)

Most stuff I can find quickly either try to make you pay for it or they're videos instead of text and that doesn't really play well with the adhd. Do you guys have anything? Thanks for the help scamming a corporation comrades meow-hug

yeah, fair enough. cats are mysterious cryptic creatures to me, but i can confirm that dogs generally mind their own business at night and accept a closed door pretty easily. i hate to kinkshame, but maybe our voyeuristic cat comrades should do some self crit about consent smh

the problem isn't what you're saying (in fact its extremely based), the problem is that your dog knows that much about your sex life. sus thonk

yeah, i figured it was a product of growing up extremely rural and this stuff being new to me - now that i actually live in range of delivery places i'd much rather walk 10 minutes than order anything delivered. its a mix of guilt and social awkwardness. i'm not sure that the guilt part actually makes sense materially, because if i just walk instead, yeah i'm not bothering anyone but surely that also means a worker isn't getting paid? i'm not sure if my way is better or worse, but as a Fellow Poor i just feel incredibly bad about the idea of economically coercing someone into doing unnessecary shit for me. nice to know its not just me being weird.

although very occasionally places send me offers or free shit thats only accessible through one of these delivery services and i can't really afford to turn down a free/cheap meal deeper-sadness

none. you don't need a date first to tell people about hexbear. the fact that you're not just shouting about us on street corners is revisionary

given that the only time i've ever played a paladin it was actually just a very confused zealot barbarian, i can confirm that paladins are not real

also i love seeing your art on here! its a sweet little break in between all the politics lol <3

okay, i know the libs often accuse us of not having experienced "the real world" and saying we'll grow out of socialism, but how can you possibly not hate landlords? like, genuinely do they still live with their parents? have they never had to deal with a landlord themselves? i've got two of them fucking me right now because i'm trying to move and holy shit its taking so much restraint not to say some mao-wtf tier shit

I'd like to be the blue dude. I want to try running a little campaign, but my group has 2 very good GMs and I'm generally nervous and not good at talking. I've considered maybe running something online with some vague online friends to learn how, but our GMs are my roommates and I'm sure they would hear me playing with strangers and ask why and/or insist that our own group won't judge me. Which they wouldn't, but that doesn't mean I want to look like a fuck up in front of them in comparison to the standard of GMing theyre used to sadness
