Not to be too obvious, but have you tried different servers?

Thanks for sharing. I’m gonna look for some of these on Audible (can never get time to read normally).

Yeah I get what you’re saying. Being used to Linux and open source I get it, but for regular people it’s not catchy or memorable at all. Also it has bin in the name, word for trash can in UK, Ireland and other places.

Mozilla doesn’t do a lot to garner praise these days, but times like this just make me appreciate them for the simple things.

Also, I never had battery issues on the 13 pro max, maybe that was an issue for people on the 14 only? That or I never used it enough to notice the battery difference.

Been on the developer beta since release. It was quite buggy, especially with the keyboard just not existing at times, forcing me to quit and re-launch signal a lot. Since beta 2 though it has been so much better. Not gonna say there aren’t any issues but it is more stable and not a pain to live with now.

Compared to if something like Reddit were to be deleted, nothing would exist.

Nothing, but all other instances would still exist. While it would suck, you can just make a quick hop to a new instance (or host your own if you’re worried about who runs things) and you’re back up and running.

I’m new to Lemmy, about a week or so ago I discovered Mlem and thought it was great to have a proper app, even if it was a beta. Today I found Memmy and I’m very impressed. Both have the basics pretty well done, although i can’t find search in Mlem still now, so I’m using Memmy primarily for now.

Thank you to everyone that works on these apps for us.

I have at times noticed some issues loading Lemmy on Firefox on iOS. Hasn’t been too terrible though, and testing now loaded fine. Bear in mind, every browser on iOS is safari webkit under the hood still.

I have started using Memmy App, and also trying Mlem. Both are in beta and you can find links to get them in test flight if you search for them. Despite being in beta they run smooth and fast.

Memmy is my favorite this far mostly because I’m new to Lemmy and it is the only one of the two with working search as of today, so I can find new communities.
