Man, I'm not generally in favour of market consolidation, but a lot of the fears people were bringing up in that article are way overblown. If RBC were trying to buyout one of the other big 5, then I'd be much more concerned. If HSBC doesn't want to play in the Canadian market anymore, RBG is likely to end up with a decent chunk of those assets anyway.

I thought that was just a Cajun thing, which still makes it (sort of) French.
I'd imagine that you would have a hard time isolating cases of rising religious extremism from the rising social/political/economic upheavals that occur at the same time. These things tend to all go hand in hand, and which one is cause vs which one is symptom is not always obvious.

I am far more proud of myself than I should be for figuring that out.
Probably just a good old fashioned presence sensor. If the sensor is triggered, there's a "box" there, and the robot does a pre-programmed set of actions. The robot would place the box on the conveyor nicely, but if the man's head and chest stuck out differently than the box does, robot doesn't care. It goes to the programmed position regardless. By the time it encounters enough resistance to trigger the collision detection, the damage has already been done.
It could also be that the material is just not all that special. "Stronger than steel" is a very easy goal to achieve. Lighter is easy too. Now pair those two with higher fracture toughness, and you have something worth talking about.
Natural gas is methane, not propane.
Where do people keep getting this from? Cars today tend to last far longer anywhere where winter is a thing.
As for air cooled vs water cooled engines, the power output (and vehicle mass) has to be part of that conversation. Yes air cooling works on on a 25 HP motor, but it doesn't work so well on modern engines making an order of magnitude more power.
