Hard to report when you’re stuck in a refugee camp with barely functioning internet, little/no electronics, all your effort is going into making sure you have food and water and keeping you and your family as safe as possible, while mourning the dead you (statistically likely) were close to.

The near entirety of Gaza is destroyed. It’s all rubble. Life doesn’t just continue as normal in these conditions.

urgh I agreed with you in the other thread but this reply is just not it.

The above commenter is obviously commenting on the lack of media coverage. And asking them to write a biography themself as if they are a reporter is nonsensical.

I was wondering too.

They really create issues out of thin air.

Thanks for the clarification.

For anyone wondering, the story is a little more muddy:

Old Frisian burich "castle, city," Old Norse borg "wall, castle," Old High German burg, buruc "fortified place, citadel," German Burg "castle," Gothic baurgs "city"), which Watkins derives from from PIE root *bhergh- (2) "high," with derivatives referring to hills, hill forts, and fortified elevations.

In German and Old Norse, chiefly as "fortress, castle;" in Gothic, "town, civic community."

Hamas are terrorists. They work through terror.

Smoking tobacco is far deadlier and more addictive than nearly all drugs. MDMA, LSD, even cocaine.

Only Heroin and Fetanyl are comfortably both more addictive and more deadly.

Lol. For those wondering, bürger in german means civilian. It comes from Burg which means town, hence the city Hamburg, after which hamburgers are named.

So Bürgerkrieg is Civil(ian) war.

As a former smoker, I think this is a good idea.

Smoking costs the public enormous costs in terms of healthcare.

Like hundreds of thousands of extra per liftime. That the NHS has to pay.

Here’s a study from 1990, add inflation and such https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJM199710093371506
