Geneva is basically the only canton of 26 to have minimum wage. I’m on 8k per year for example.

Anyways, this isn’t an “I have it worst olympics”. But Switzerland is far inferior to countries who genuinely have “universal healthcare” meaning everyone can have healthcare even if they have 0 money. Instead of having “universal healthcare” through a weird legal loophole that excludes poor people by criminalising them.

Yes I was to be honest. I didn’t imagine I would be accused of being a nazi because I detailed war crimes against them.

Not to mention I’ve made similar posts in the past about nazi war crimes against the allies, I believe one was specifically about the soviets, and people were quite respectful and intelligent in the comments.

I was reading through wikipedia on world war two, and found out that over half a million german prisoners of war died in soviet gulags after the end of the war.

I’m pretty well read on world war two and I’d never heard that before, so I decided to post it on “today I learned”.

There’s a real problem with Neo-nazis, less on lemmy, but it’s increasing worldwide. But you’re accusing the wrong person. I mean I am literally signed up on an LGBT+ Rights instance.

Imagine seeing the world so black and white that detailing a Soviet War crime in world war two is the same as apologising for the Nazis.

The Nazis were absolutely horrible genociders who commited countless atrocities. Now, does that mean we should just ignore other countries atrocities. No it doesn’t.

Notice how the right wing people saying the lockdowns caused this are wrong. The lockdowns certainly didn’t help, but this problem has been brewing for far longer.

It’s like the US but if it was illegal to not have health insurance, so literally being poor is illegal.

When someone says “universal healthcare” it sounds a lot better than that.

Finally, Switzerland’s useless obsession with military spending and forced military service will pay off. 😄

The army advanced quickly, using most resources to prevent the enemy from reforming a defensive line, and doesnt spend too many resources finding non-armed military personel (bureaucrats).

Armed soldiers however need to be taken quickly or neutralised, as they obviously have the capacity to cause trouble. Only high ranking bureaucrats that can provide secrets or can be used aa bargaining chips are prioritised for capture.
