Edit: better reaction
Endmaker
Even though the story begins with your typical kicked-out-from-party premise, I enjoyed it; not sure why.
Perhaps it is because the MC isn't someone transferred to this world. (which I find rather unnecessary of similar stories, where MC's life before isekai is irrelevant).
Edit: After thinking about it, it may be because the MC actually has a goal that he is working towards / purpose in life, which gave me something to root for.
If the anime is popular enough to go far, I'm curious to see if it will adapt the manga version or the web novel / source (or light novel if there's one?)
Either way,
manga AND novel spoiler
blue hair mage wins, which is nice.
Looking forward to this anime.
Filler chapter. Looks like it's getting interesting next chapter though.
Have you watched the sequel movies yet?
Yeah, they are all great
I think it would be better to just lean into the supernatural, but...I am a professional physicist.
I bet it's like watching hacking scenes as a programmer.
The rest of the cast appear to be adults though.
One child among numerous adults satisfy the definition of "mostly adult cast of characters" that OP asked for IMO.
how much time it spends on the MC's youth
The rest of the cast are adults though, which fits the "mostly adult cast" requirement IMO
Oh yeah, her classmates. They are so unmemorable that I forgot about them😅
Moving it down to honorable mention
Maybe I missed the joke, but it's ended
Oh cool, thanks. Time to pick it up again.
I placed it on hold because season 1 didn't have a conclusive ending. I'd rather binge everything at once.

The main cast would have grown into adults later on, and based how what's released of the anime so far, I wouldn't count it as "mostly" adults.
DOTA: Dragons Blood
Is the series ending anytime?
I've completed quite a few:
- Violet Evergarden
- Vinland Saga
- Odd Taxi
- Cherry Magic!
- One Punch Man
- Saga of Tanya the Evil
- Delicious in Dungeon
Honorable mentions - depends on how strictly you'd define "mostly":
Honorable mentions - unique circumstances:
- Cells at Work! - Your typical red blood cell lives for about 120 days :( The cells that look like adults do behave like adults though
- PLUTO - Robots' mental age can be different from their physical appearances
A tad melodramatic, but still nice
