I have used 2 go controls on my garage door openers for like 7 years now. Work great. About 5 yrs in the tilt sensors started getting flakey. They use a small ball bearing capsule thing to sense tilt. I replaced those with small mercury tilt switches off of eBay and have been flawless since. Used initially with Abode security system, then mov d to HomeSeer.

Been googling but not finding a solution. Looking for a plug-in Z-wave lamp dimmer that has a wired or wireless remote. Use-case is for table lamps on each side of sofa that want controlled through automation and lighting scenes, but also allow local control from whoever is sitting at the couch that may want to individually turn on/off/dim the lamp. Some sort of puck or button that could have on end-table next to lamp would work. Nice if it was wired into dimmer module that lamp plugs into or be wireless, so don't need to worry abt remote being replaced or battery replacement, but wireless/battery could work and could just attach it to table next to the lamp with velcro.

Lutron Caseta has something like what I want, but I don't want to introduce another control protocol and another hub just for these couple table lamp controls. Any variety of GE/Leviton Z-wave plug-in light dimmers could work, if then could have a small Z-Wave on/off/dim controller that could sit next to light, as long as it woke up quickly communicated to Home Auto controller (HomeSeer) and could then actuate the light. It would need to respond fast so user doesn't get frustrated with any action delay.
