One of their greatest songs still.

Honestly, I'd rather have a working Linux phone that can run Android apps. I like being in control of my devices.

Meh. Catppuccin over everything 😄

Yes updates are slow, but keep in mind that the developers are all volunteers.
Currently the PineTime is a glorified step counter, but with the next update (should be 1.15, I hope) we'll get background heart rate monitoring. The PR is shaping up and will hopefully be merged before the next release.

Why would you not want containers managed by systemd?
You get the benefits of containerisation and you don't have to learn the arcane syntax of some container engine or another.

Welch eine Überraschung...

You have some instructions?

[–] Chais 1 points 1 month ago

No. You need to request your Netflix video, you need to ACK the segments of it you receive and a lot more.
At the very least you'll need to maintain a detailed whitelist of allowed domains and especially for the manufacturer some packets might he OK, like checking for updates, while others you'll wanna block.

It's likely a lot easier to just get a dumb screen and have the smart in a device you control.

Thanks.
That's a rye starter. You can start a rye starter from scratch, but it'll take some time before it has enough rise for baking. Alternatively you can "convert" a wheat starter by feeding it with increasing fractions of rye flour.
Rye makes for a quite heavy dough, so you'll want a kitchen machine that's up to the task.

Nothing special to the process.
I make a pre-dough from 30g active starter, 150g water and 150g rye flour (I use type 1350, but you're unlikely to find that outside Germany) and let that rise for 12h.
After first rise I add 12g salt, 10g honey, 380g rye flour, 250g water and whatever seeds I feel like.
Let that rise for another 3h, then coax it into a loaf tin (rye dough is awfully sticky, wet hands help) and let it rise for another 2h.
Then bake with steam for 15 minutes at 250°C, then release the steam, reduce temperature to 200°C and bake for another 45 minutes.

It's based on this recipe but adjusted to my taste and flour. You'll have to play around and find ratios that work for your flour.

Am I too harsh […]?

No. If there's no way to verify anything then all we have to go on is their word.
The word of a company generally isn't worth a whole lot. Same with Telegram.

By that I mean randomly generated playlists. Based on either one or multiple tags, songs or artists. Finite or infinite.

Ideally it would allow combining local sources with remote ones for discovering new music. Thinking along the lines of audioscrobbler, Bandcamp and SoundCloud. Maybe one could even hook into Spotify's API, of they allow that.

Does something like this exist? I'm currently running Navidrome and while it's pretty and functional, it's very much a classic Mediaplayer, that just happens to be a website.

When the screen blanks liftoff simply resets to the default view. As a result it forgets:

  • The feed you were scrolling through
  • ~~The position in the feed~~
  • The post/comment you were writing

Makes it annoying to write even moderately long posts/comments because you constantly have to be on the lookout for the screensaver or disable it. And how you don't get distracted when authoring a post/comment.

Seeing this on Android 13 and liftoff 0.10.9

After I just deleted about two pages of comment, because Android gesture navigation is fun that way 😑, I really wished liftoff would save the unsent comment as draft or at least ask me if I really want to abandon this comment.

This is on android. What I mean is when you try to scroll the feed and happen to touch an image, instead of scrolling the feed I get these colored circle segments telling me this can't scroll any further. But that shouldn't even be an option because there is only a single image.
See this post for an example. For some reason the image does scroll ever so slightly.

Embedded image being ![](url).
Scrolling down is no issue but scrolling up leads to the view position jumping back down, as soon as the images starts entering the frame. The only way I found to scroll back up is scrolling really fast. Maybe so the image fully enters the view from one draw to the next.

I'm currently running Iodé and an considering switching to Ubuntu phone, but ultimately I'd like to give PostmarketOS a shot. Can the Ubuntu phone support translate to faster development for PostmarketOS?

Title. The language of a post or comment is never displayed, nor can it be defined when writing posts or comments.
This leads to posts/comments with the language set to "undetermined" which leads to them appearing to users that didn't select the actual language.

Edit: Additionally some communities seem to have started disallowing "undetermined" as a post/comment language, leading to Jerboa users being unable to post/comment. I've encountered [email protected] so far.

As you can see, the included extension cord collides with the chosen cpu cooler. The other end of the cable looks like this.

So I need a 1ft c13 to c14 cable with two angled connectors. Not sure if the c14 side should be angled up or right.

Anyone know where I'd buy such a specific cable?

There's a community on Facebook called Bunz. They're about trading things you don't need for ones you do.
Would there be interest in a thread or a dedicated community here? I'm suggesting a thread, too, because there's obviously some advantage to locality.
