I think if Elon's rise came after the fall, there's a good chance for a cursed item being the source of their power.

The good thing is that it'd right no matter how you read it

I know it's anecdotal and not scientific, but I'm in a "dead heat" state and I've seen more Harris signs in rural areas than I've ever seen for any democratic candidate in 30 years.

He's not going to dump him because: A. He would have to admit he made a mistake choosing him; and 2. He chose Vance cause he's a bootlicker and he comes with a lot of Silicon Valley tech bro cash.

I've said a lot of the same for years. You don't get a progressive president by voting for them first. You vote in television unsexy stuff, city council races, congressional primaries, county commissioners. Those people learn the system and move up. Bug surprise, like progressive ideas, you build up fom the bottom.

First salvo of the "the only legitimate win is a Republican win" that we'll see this fall. But both parties are the same, am I right?

Gotta love how "stopping misinformation" is interpreted as "silencing conservatives" by the people who coined the term "alternative facts."

I agree, but its because to a lot of Trump's base, nothing has changed. Trump's supporters in the Republican party are trying to spin it as a politically motivated prosecution and gloss over the mountain of evidence, the taped confession, and the fact that a grand jury voted to indict.

I like Canada even if I'm not from it. Plus it seems like a nice quiet place to call a Lemmy home and figure this whole thing out without being overwhelmed. Like, peer into the All and go "whoa man" then just hit Local and chill for a bit.
