Well, most is a stretch. Don't get me wrong I myself don't have many games which I can't play on arch, but there is a good chunk out there, especially with AC that cannot be played on linux yet.

All this to say that in the future linux will probably be able to reach the level of windows (when it comes to gaming), but not right now. It doesn't help that I prefer spending 1 hour trying to find out how to boot some bronze rated game on proton instead of opening windows because I fucking hate it.

Thing is that not everyone plays every game on steam, and even some on steam require specific arguments that the average user won't be bothered to search, even if it's quick.

I mean, you need to set up a bit of things, but outside of game developers being fucking assholes and not allowing ACs on linux, linux has made very good progress in just a few years. I find myself barely booting to windows 10 right now.

Update: GPU crashed again, welp

This isn't a tech support post, more like a rant post. On the 7800xt a common issue is that if you run a hdmi monitor and a displayport one you get constant greenscreens unless you lower your clocks (which for some doesn´t even work). Thing is, that this was reported months ago and no solution has been made from AMD to fix this. I am very pissed off by this, because I was pretty sure that driver issues were a thing of the past, and if there were some issues they would get fixed at launch... (It isn´t windows only, the green screen comes in arch too) well nah, amd doesn´t learn. Another thing that makes me worry is that AMD doesn´t look like they will catch up to nvidia anytime soon, hell, FSR3 is still not released...

Was the 4070 ti the better choice? At this point I don´t know.
