Haha, I can see how that can be frustrating, especially because it seems like GrapheneOS provides a lot of value for lots of people minus those two features. After buying a car with Android Auto I have never bought a car without it. OEM car integration usually is very lacking especially when it comes to navigation. I wish there were open source alternatives to android auto. Thank you for the respectful response :)

I appreciate the effort and have also verified your analysis myself to be true. However, and I don't know if it's just me, but I don't see any images attached to your comments.

I'm thinking of starting my own community here analogous to a subreddit that has not migrated. Do you have any tips or advice for someone starting out? My biggest fear and the only thing holding me back is nobody showing up :(

edit: I think it's important to mention I don't have moderation experience, but there's a first for everybody and I'm willing to commit the time and effort to maintain a community.

double edit: looks like I confused your OP tag for a mod tag. In either case, I am open for anyone that might have any type of advice.

I believe that's what "defederation" is. It's when a server decides to no longer import or share content with another instance.

I've been trying my best to reply to such comments with kindness and what they could have done to make their comment more constructive. Lot's of people react on emotion and sometimes they just need a bit of guidance to engage constructively. Others that are both unhelpful and rude get a report also.

Thank you for the helpful links and the insight! Much appreciated! I see how the deep integration hardware integration of Android Auto makes it challenging to run it in a compatibility layer.

Before switching OS's I need to know if it's compatible with the features that I value. It's okay if you don't value the same features as I do, but there's no reason to be both rude and provide no useful information at the same time.

You're absolutely right that everything depicted in the image are things that are almost certain to occur to everyone. However, the difference between the two, as some other comments have already mentioned, is the frequency of which these symptoms occur causing it to be more debilitating than you would expect them to be.

I think it's valuable to society as a whole to respect and be open to other people's struggles when it comes to mental health, and your comment does not seem to acknowledge that but rather dismiss it.

This type of thinking and being quick to dismiss is natural because our human brains cannot interpret experiences others go through, especially with things that involve how they perceive and process information in the first place. But this is the main reason there are so many people that have untreated mental health issues BECAUSE of the fact that it's really hard to differentiate a mental health issue from someone going through regular everyday life. And the inverse is also true where many people struggle don't even know that they're struggling because even they think it's typical.

This, and Google Pay/Wallet would be the deciding factor for me

I'll give it another go to see if things have changed over the years, thanks!

I'm sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.

my guess is so google can use this data for analytics for their operating system since it collects OS version too
