I'm running /e/ OS on Xiaomi Mi5 (gemini), works great. Phone is from 2016. One day ago I had updated from 1.8 to 1.16 with success. Really great project !
I have updated from 1.8 to 1.16 on my Xiaomi Mi5 (gemini) 2016 mobile phone with success. I only had to flash new recovery image. Then from recovery installed /e/ OS 1.16. One good suggestion for new people is always check the mobile device support list on e.foundation before buying a new phone. That way you can always get /e/ OS on your phone. If anyone is interested check this page to find out if your phone has support for /e/ OS https://doc.e.foundation/devices
p.s. with /e/ OS on my mobile phone I get security updates for my 7 year old phone and it is still functional, also not making new trash and polluting nature with constantly buying new mobile phones just because the old phone loses official support and security updates or is discontinued. This is really important to me.
Is AstOS still active? I found this AshOS which is similar but I had never tried any of it. Maybe also inactive don't really know. Thx for mentioning AstOS, I never thought this is possible on Arch distribution.
I also believe it is a fork of Warsow as you say. But I am not so sure if Warsow has any players today and I admit I didnt invest enough of my free time to find information about Warsow. Thank you for pointing to that. If someone is reading this wants the information on Warsow here is another link https://warsow.net/ . I will try to edit my first post and mention Warsow and Warfork together. I hope I can fix that.
Thank you for posting this news. When I check for updates it was there, then a few hours later the update was gone. My thinking at the time was, what have I done wrong ? And a bit later I was like was forgetting there really was an update to 2.4. Now reading this news explains it all. I will update my Xiaomi Mi 5 (gemini) to /e/ OS 2.4.1 today. I just checked I have it available. So thank you for fixing it.
