I have slightly lower performance watching videos in MPV with heavy shaders vs 23.30.01.03 AFMF driver but that one actually improved it vs 23.30.01.02 so I guess it's about even. Idk about in games since I always ran them with Chill enabled.

I thought the Z1 series were supposed to optimized for lower TDP targets for tablets, doesn't this defeat the purpose?

I'd need a new one regardless if I went with a 5800X3D, 5700X or 7800X3D so it's not an extra cost in comparison. The only exception is if I were to go with a 7600.

Not whole system, just motherboard and RAM. I could get some cheapies for ~$175 USD so it's no a massive difference.

Might be interesting depending on the cost but the 5800X3D is so expensive in Australia that the 7800X3D is going for basically the same price... Might just be better ditching my AM4 or settling for a 5700X instead...
