Unfortunately in a first past the post system voting third party is little more than throwing your vote away, or even worse taking it away from a candidate who you support that actually has a chance of winning

It took me a long while to understand the profound nature of that thought, but once I did it clicked HARD. I changed the way I live life after I really understood. Like you were saying, every location, every event, they're all unique and will never happen again exactly the same way
I had a similar slide in my hometown. Everyone I knew absolutely loved it and as far as I know no one every got seriously hurt. A new safer competing slide was built and put the old slide out of business, but then the new slide was "boring" to everyone after the new wore off and it shut down too. And now we're slideless, truly a tragedy
I read there are some issues with pre 0.18 versions of Lemmy with the latest versions of Jerboa. It should be fixed soon though, and an update as big as 0.18 for Lemmy should be rare in the future
