Thank you for writing that so I don't have to.

The end of the petrodollar is complicated. On the one hand it reenforced American hegemony and propped up US financial institutions and instruments. On the otherhand it was quite unfair and sometimes unpopular even among US allies.

The end of it means US finance will have to work harder to stay competitive and the US has to trade currency on (slightly) more equal footing but it might lower international resentment.

Pedophilia is not a crime. If you are correct this post is wrong. Still people act like pedophilia is a crime.

The answer is people like to hate those they don't understand. People hate based on skin color, body fat, sexual orientation, and all sorts of differences. Now it seems like hating those cursed with psychological disorders around sexual attraction and children is in vogue. In twenty years it will be a new group.

Being sexually attracted to children is rape? Not in my world. You're like one of those people saying an earring makes a man gay. Where I come from fucking a dude makes a man gay not an earring. And raping a child makes someone a child rapist not being attracted to a child.

Biden regarding Palatine is bad. Trump is worse.

What other policy are you referring to?

Not pro knowl just knuckle dragging mechanic advice: run the car for a bit. Rev it up. Turn it off. Pull the dip stick. If there is no foaming you're fine.

What would happen if Biden straight up announced: "I'm not able to serve another 4 years. I'm passing my whole campaign to <insert Biden's pick here>. I trust as does my whole administration." Is that not allowed?

I signed up for jmp.chat using Cheogram installed from F-Droid. It assigned me a new Snikket instance and a new Jabber ID there. It auto-generated a password. Today Cheogram is wouldn't launch at all. After a a reinstalled my saved auto-generated password is gone. Snikket told me to reach out to jmp.chat.

There is no email support. I tried messaging the support account ([email protected]) from another Jabber account and received a forbidden response. What should I do next? Just sign up for another number?

While I appreciate the response the logic doesn't check out. You can view the content. You don't need an account unless you want to use your own viewer. This post was misleading.

Given your response other people's answer to just not visit reddit is correct.

So I just visited reddit for the first time since June 30th because of this post. Opened a private window, typed reddit.com. It loaded fine. What makes you think you need an account to "view any of the datat that exists on" reddit?

Apocalypse World 2nd Ed. has given me the most delight in the fewest sessions of any TTRPG. It takes a group willing to follow the rules though. If you try to play it the way you play D&D it won't work so keep that in mind.

I have childhood friends. I have romantic partners. I have adult friendships are based around convenience. My social life is the web of friendships surrounding my childhood friends and my romantic partners plus the current convenience friends.

Writing that out I realize I might not have deep friendships with people I've met as an adult because I don't extend my social circle to include more of their friends. I'm just a dangling friendship in their lives not part of their larger network of friends.

I wonder what that's about.

I'm very extroverted. I have no trouble making new friends that are interested in a hobby or like to meet up at a certain place. In the 24 years since I graduated high school haven't met a new friend who just wants to meet up, hang out, and do whatever because life is more fun with friends. Back in my school days I was pretty bad at making new friends but the friends I did make were legit. I still keep in touch with them and we don't need a plan to have fun.

If anyone has any insights or tips on how to make solid friends as an adult I'd love to hear it.
