I’m not sure if you’ve tried this PWA called Wefwef but it feels like a fully featured Apollo client for Lemmy already. You just go to the site and add it to your home screen. No beta to sign up for. No TestFlight link. Just add the PWA.

It’s good. It’s really really good.

I’m so glad I signed up on Beehaw where I can flip my app to local only and makes these dog whistling conservative bigots disappear. It’s wonderful. I also never see any downvotes.

Unnecessarily hostile comment. We’re getting closer to a true Reddit replacement!

I'm kind of torn on this. On one hand, yes reddit sucks, but on the other hand it's an extremely search friendly source of information. Does Lemmy even play nice with search engines? The one good thing I can say about a centralized community like reddit is everything is there and easily accessible. Whenever I search for something I need a quick informed answer on I already prefix it with "Reddit."

I was looking at reddit today, and the front-page felt like nothing happened. I scrolled and scrolled and scrolled and clicked into comments. Everything is popping off buzzing with activity. All the subreddits I was subscribed to that went dark are now back up and business as usual.

I knew we were a minority, but I didn't expect this level of apathy. It feels like Spez was 100% right and this did in fact blow over. What's your take on it it? I didn't expect Reddit to immediately be a failure, but man I guess I expected a bigger impact than that.

Affirmative Action has now ended in the United States.

You can Google takeout your subscriptions to a json file you can then import to alternate front ends like newpipe.

Today was huge. I’ve separated myself enough from Google with Proton applications/services combined with other more privacy focused software and hardware to be able to completely delete my Google account.

It feels great to FINALLY be free of them. I’ve had an account there for decades.

So sad. This was my go to app when I used Android.

Ratings looking good still on iOS.

Can’t wait to give this a try. Right now I’m on the latest Mlem build for Lemmy and it’s surprisingly good.
