10 points is a massive difference tbf, it's such a huge swing. If Chelsea were deducted 10 points last season they'd have finished on the same number of points as Leicester.

Do people only have one understanding of the word influence? I see a shitload of the discussion here saying that Messi hasn't been influential in regards to the sport as a whole, I don't see anyone discussing Messi's ability to influence what happens on a football pitch in any given game. He's easily one of the most influential players in the history of the sport in that sense.

I do wonder how far the SPFL has to fall before the paradigm shifts, and the big two break away, or a new broadcaster comes in and revamps the league, or some other major change. It's a league with quite a lot of relevance to the history of European football (and Scotland is a major part of football history as a whole), and Celtic dominating the league and then getting demolished in the CL does nobody any favours.
