I have an m2 iPad pro. The last thing it needs is more processing power, what it needs is better software to make use of the power that it has. I’d love to run full OS X on it considering I paid more than some MacBooks.

I’m someone who vastly prefers to work in an office. It’s kind of a pain in the ass dealing with remote workers, meetings having gone to teams instead of in person, it just feels impersonal and as a former manager it is harder to maintain and keep your staff engaged.

But this is the modern workforce, and we have plenty of evidence that productivity is still there with a hybrid or remote office. When I was a manager I had to change my strategies, I had to adapt and learn, just like everything else I do in my professional life. Now that I am part of leadership but without direct reports, it’s just more adapting and learning that I am doing to stay relevant.

poor management is why all these companies are trying to force people back, it’s just people who cannot adapt.

just look at the abortion debate, folks are celebrating that AZ now has a 15 week ban instead of a full ban.

Everyone knows “11 strikes and you are out”.

you won't get any argument from me. these folks are the same ones telling me that I'm pro-war (generally in not such nice terms) because I want to avoid the abject horrors of a dictatorship; but apparently I'm just paranoid and overreacting.

Feels like the automotive world is in utter chaos. I do believe in EVs and hybrids but manufacturers have focused on the premium segment to their own detriment. If they had started with the MVP instead of a flagship things might be in a different situation.

Yes, I am an aware of the Tesla strategy of starting high end but they seem to have abandoned that goal in favor of prestige meme wagons.

It ain’t just young people. I’ve got a lot of lefty friends and family who have been lost and are willing to gamble on turnip because they think there is no way to handle things worse than we are now.

IMHO, he's hedging his bets. turnip isn't exactly a barr fan so he's calculating that he'll stay off the list after the next election. he knows that nothing he says matters and so is laying the groundwork to keep his head.
