Considering buying this for my husband.
I know the note taking function would be useful.

My primary reason is to help ease his work tasks. He works outside at construction sites so typical office equipment isn’t readily available.

Currently, he uses graphing paper to sketch out his work diagrams. He then scans the sheets with his phone, emails to corporate account, saves to his personal drive to upload to work program.

I know that’s a lot but IT policy prohibits plugging anything to corporate devices.

Would I be able to save him a step or 2 with this purchase?

TIA

I recently just got mine, was unsure because of some of the limitations that the reviews highlight, but I managed to get a deal off eBay so snapped it up with the market plus.

I did some of the recommended setup, creating a folder for “focus” items for work related projects, set up a subscription to google drive and the device so I can shoot through to cloud storage.

Productivity wise - I love it. Literally write down notes on the fly, get a better checklist of things to do, my hand doesn’t get all hot and uncomfortable while writing, and I’m not losing focus due to pop up notifications.

Also grabbed a couple of epub articles off the web, including a few books, a couple of graphic novels and Time magazine to test out - it’s fine. Obviously everything is black and white, but there’s no loss of detail for me.

Be mindful that this rM2 will be fragile and thin piece of tech.

It's not really a good idea for construction sites. Hmm. Thanks for this.

Remarkable 1 or Supernote A5X are made of plastic so you can consider buying them.

The mobility and reassurance that I will have something to write on (as long as i remembered to charge it), was really a game changer for me. Recently graduated student and its been more useful at my job than school lol.

Look into the 90 day return policy, If it doesnt work for him then at least youre not wasting monies.

At work with clients (graphic design, car wrapping shop), I can just have them sign it on the tablet and use that for designs. Anything they write, notes, etc, its always just there, and handing clients the tablet certifies what they do is safe. It takes a lot of stress off because I know where to find my information.

There are templates in the OS of the RM, some graphs/gridded sheets, etc, but your husband can always download a PDF as is and edit it. I think it would be a good choice but the RM is just my choice, not being distracted on the job while getting the notes and info down is super rewarding and imo worth it. Im really happy I didnt get mine until I was 27, 20 year old me wouldnt have gotten how special it is.

Go you for thinking this deep into it, good luck on the choice! :)
